Rapid Rescore

A paid service that pushes credit-report corrections through bureaus in 3-7 days, vs the normal 30-day cycle.

Rapid rescore is a paid service offered through mortgage brokers that pushes credit-report corrections through bureaus in 3-7 days. Cost: typically $25-$50 per item per bureau. Used almost exclusively by mortgage applicants whose closing depends on a specific score threshold.

The service doesn't dispute items — it accelerates the bureau's processing of corrections that are already justified. Consumers can't directly purchase rapid rescore; it's accessed through a participating mortgage broker.
